When all available copies of a title are checked out, or if a title is shelved at a library that is not in your neighborhood, a hold (reserve) can be placed on that particular item. Holds can be placed by phone, in person, or online. A step-by-step guide to placing holds through our online catalog is available.
A valid library card (with less than $10.00 in fines on it) is needed to place holds. Holds may not be placed on reference material and new release feature film DVDs. The maximum number of items a person can place on hold is at any one time is fifty. Child Only and Teen Only cardholders can place three items on hold at one time. You will be contacted by phone, email, or text message when your hold is available.
