The Minor Card allows a minor to get a library card without the need of a parent or guardian signature. The Minor Card works in the following ways:
- Child-Only: Children aged 12 and under can checkout up to three print items cataloged for children.
- Teen-Only: Teens aged 13 to 17 can checkout up to three print items cataloged for children or teens.
- Both types of cards allow access to the Internet and online databases, as well as access to downloadable materials.
There are no fines associated with the Minor Card. The card is stopped if three print items are checked out or at least one book is overdue and cannot be renewed.
