The Digital Bookmobile National Tour is coming to Cincinnati! The Digital Bookmobile will showcase the free eBook download service available from the Library from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Groesbeck Branch, Wednesday, August 17 and at the Loveland Branch, Thursday, August 18.
At these free events, readers of all ages can learn how to download eBooks and e-audiobooks from the Library through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos. Everyone touring the Digital Bookmobile will receive a set of ear buds and an entry form for a chance to win a NOOK e-reader.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our customers to learn more about downloadable media and all the options available to them through the Library,” said Kim Fender, The Eva Jane Romaine Coombe Director of the Public Library. “Digital books are convenient And can be downloaded from home without a special trip to the Library, and are returned automatically, making it impossible to accrue fines.”
The Digital Bookmobile is equipped with broadband Internet-connected PCs, high definition monitors, premium sound systems, and a wide variety of portable media players, all of which will help visitors explore the Library’s download service. In addition, a gadget gallery—featuring an iPod Touch, Android tablet, NOOK, Sony Reader, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, etc.—will help visitors explore portable devices that are compatible with our collection of downloadable ebooks and audiobooks.
We hope you'll stop by--it's a great opportunity to get hands-on experience exploring our downloadable collection!
