Two Used Book Sales Will Be Held in November for Book Lovers
Weekend of November 9-12 and November 16-18
Two fall used book sales promise to offer plenty of bargains and give shoppers a chance to purchase nearly new books suitable for gift giving during the holidays.
The Anderson Library Committee will be hosting its Second Annual Nearly New Holiday Book Sale at the Anderson Branch Library, 7450 State Rd., the weekend of November 9-11. There will be a wide selection of holiday books, including cookbooks and coffeetable type books, as well as paperbacks, videos and CDs. A limited supply of first editions and collectibles will be housed in a separate section. "We have picked the best of the best for this sale," said Pat Noonan, of the Anderson Library Committee.
Through the Committee's efforts hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised to support the Anderson and Mt. Washington branch libraries. This group of committed volunteers also has provided trust funds for both branches to purchase books, established the Anderson Community Collection of oversized travel and art books, brought noted speakers to the branch, and provided funds for children and adult programming.
