He will discuss his book, Joe: Rounding Third and Heading for Home, a biography of beloved Cincinnati Reds pitcher and broadcaster Joe Nuxhall in the Main Library Reading Lounge on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. A book signing will follow. Throughout 2009, the Library will be hosting a variety of authors for adults, kids, and teens. All these events are free and open to the public—mark your calendars now!

FEATURED BOOK OF THE MONTH

The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World by Eric Weiner is the March title for the Featured Book of the Month. The author, a former NPR foreign correspondent, calls his book "a travelogue of ideas" and a "philosophical self-help humorous travel memoir." Weiner searches the world for the unheralded happy places, such as Iceland, Bhutan, Switzerland, India, and Thailand to name a few. Check out the blog on this month’s selection for more information and readers’ comments.
