Parrot Party February 5

Calling Parrotheads of all ages! Help us kick off the 10th Annual On The Same Page community reading
program with a Parrot Party at the Cincinnati Zoo. Learn all about these amazing birds and see the
Zoo's parrots in action! All activities are free with Zoo membership or admission on Saturday,
February 5 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Frisch’s Theatre, 3400 Vine St., 513-281-4700.

Honoring Black History Month

SWON Libraries is seeking nominations for several awards to honor libraries and library staff
in the Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky area. This is your opportunity to recognize information
professionals and libraries in the region. Nominations are welcomed from anyone who has a great
story to tell about libraries and library staff. The deadline for nominations is February 11, 2011.

Calligraphy Guild Work on View
|
|
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Greater Cincinnati Calligraphy Guild, the Library will be
hosting an exhibit of approximately 40 banners, books, quilts, framed art and wedding displays by guild members.
The exhibit will be on view in the Atrium at the Main Library from February 1 through March 10.
Be sure to stop by the Main Library Reading Garden on Saturday, February 12, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
to receive a Valentine and have it hand-lettered by a member of the Greater Cincinnati Calligraphy Guild.
