A former drummer for a one-hit-wonder band, Drew Silver now plays bar mitzvahs and weddings. Home is an efficiency hotel in Elmsbrook, New York, where he spends his days hanging out with other divorced dads. Then the unthinkable happens. Drew is diagnosed with a torn aorta that requires immediate surgery. Instead of getting the surgery, Drew decides to spend his remaining time repairing his relationship with his daughter and trying to win back his ex-wife. Will he succeed? A funny, insightful examination of middle-age male angst from Tropper (This Is Where I Leave You, 2009).
