Lulu Walks the Dogs

Judith Viorst

Feisty Lulu wants a specific (unnamed) purchase that her parents think is outrageous so she’s told she must earn the money herself. Her solution is to start a dog walking business. Each of her dog clients creates trouble and her business plan is failing. Along comes Fleischman, her goody-goody annoyingly perfect neighbor kid. Of course he offers to help - can Lulu put up with him long enough to save her business? Lane Smith’s droll illustrations capture the dramatic differences between Lulu and Fleischman. This second collaboration between Viorst and Lane continues the sassy charm and child-friendly humor of Lulu and the Brontosaurus (2010) - Delightful. Ages 5-7
