Bartholomew Biddle and the Very Big Wind
Bartholomew Biddle, age 10, grabs the sheet off his bed and uses it as a parachute to soar into the night sky. First he lands in a tropical island where he befriends sweet and generous pirates. Next he meets Densmore, a young boy who longs to fly. His last adventure takes him to a canyon full of pilots who have flown off-course. This witty novella has a Dr. Seuss-like rhyme scheme and colorful oil painting illustrations.
