The King's Deception
In Berry’s latest in his series (after The Jefferson Key, 2011), former agent- turned-bookseller Cotton Malone and his 15-year-old son, Gary, are headed to England. As a favor to his old boss, Malone agrees to escort a teen fugitive back to the country. But when Gary is kidnapped, Cotton discovers he's stumbled on an international plot involving secrets about Queen Elizabeth I, and the impending prison release of one of the men behind the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The United States objects, but nothing can persuade the British government to intervene – except Operation King’s Deception.
