Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock
Quick, (Boy21, 2012) whose books revolve around disturbed characters, who don't fit in, introduces yet another such individual in 18-year-old Leonard Peacock. On his birthday, Leonard leaves for school with a pistol tucked into his backpack and has every intention of killing his former best friend and then himself. First, though, he must stop and visit the important people in his life. While speaking to each person, Leonard slowly reveals his secrets and that he appreciates and values life in a way that few people do. In the end, he is able to look beyond his pain and see the possibilities that life holds.
