The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban
Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb

October 9th will mark the one-year anniversary of the Taliban's attempted assassination of the 15-year-old Pakistani girl who risked her life for a right to go to school. Taken to England for medical care Malala now lives in the UK, under threat of death should she return to the Taliban-controlled area she previously called home. This amazing young woman is the youngest nominee for a Nobel Peace Prize and plans to use the opportunity of her "second life" to continue to promote education for girls everywhere.
