Jane Austen Goes to Hollywood
McDonald (Getting over Garrett Delaney, 2012), gives L.A. the Jane Austen treatment in this contemporary take on Sense and Sensibility. After their father dies and leaves everything to his new wife, sisters Grace and Hallie, along with their mother, are forced to leave San Francisco and move into the Beverly Hills guesthouse owned by their cousin. Shy, responsible Grace spends all summer longing for the love she left behind. Meanwhile, drama queen Hallie is spending every second with a gorgeous rock star, Dakota, who rescued her from drowning. Will Hallie be blinded by the stars in her eyes and is Grace doomed to forever playing it safe?
