Things I Should Have Known
Writing with honesty and humor, LaZebnik (Wrong About the Guy, 2015) offers a thought-provoking portrayal of how people can come together despite or because of their differences. Chloe Mitchell seems to have it all: she’s pretty, popular, gets good grades and has a handsome boyfriend. But she worries about her older sister Ivy who has autism. Concerned that she's lonely, Chloe decides to find her a boyfriend. She convinces Ivy to go on a date with Ethan, a boy in her special needs class. But Ethan's brother and chaperone turns out to be Chloe’s despicable classmate David. As Ivy and Ethan's dates continue, Chloe and David slowly form an unexpected bond and discover they have more in common than they ever thought possible.
