Good Prose:The Art of Nonfiction
The advice you always hear is if you want to be a writer, you need to be a good reader. You probably can't do much better if you want to be a nonfiction writer than picking up this book by a Pulitzer Prize winner and his editor. Kidder and Todd provide inspiration and guidelines for penning essays, memoirs, and other narrative accounts while throwing in some personal memories of their nearly 40 years together with Kidder writing and Todd editing. This is sure to be a classic in the field of writing, but more personalized than a style manual.
