Dust:A Scarpetta Novel

Patricia Cornwell

Medical examiner Kay Scarpetta is back home (after The Bone Bed, 2012) when grad student Gail Shipton is found dead on the rugby field of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her body was draped in an unusual cloth and carefully posed, leading Scarpetta to believe she was not the killer’s first victim. Physical evidence, including mud that fluoresces the colors blood red, emerald green and sapphire blue, links the case to some serial homicides in Washington, D.C., where Scarpetta’s FBI husband is currently deployed to help capture the Capital Murderer.
