The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County Foundation, the “Library Foundation,” was incorporated in 2004 as a non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization. Contributions to the Library Foundation help strengthen the collections, expand programs, and enhance services. A strong public library system is the foundation upon which a community can preserve the past, empower lives today, and build for the future.
All gifts are fully tax-deductible. The Foundation accepts contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations. For your convenience, contributions can be made online. Please note: Tax-deductible contributions to the Library Levy campaign cannot be accepted on this site. Opportunities for giving include:
- Cincinnati Riverfront 1848-2006. Purchase a commemorative poster featuring the Fontayne-Porter eight-plate daguerreotype and a contemporary panorama taken by local photographer Thomas R. Schiff.
- Buy a copy of Cincinnati’s Great Disasters by Betty Ann Smiddy. Copies are available in the Library Friends’ Gift Shop and Amazon. Many of the vintage postcards reproduced in this book are in the Library’s collection.
- Annual Fund. Contributions to our annual fund ensure that we continue to remain a vital part of the community.
- Honor with Books. A distinctive way to acknowledge someone who has made a difference in your life.
- Pet Memorials. Our Pet Memorial Fund is a lasting way to remember a beloved pet.
- Unrestricted Gifts. Your gift will go to areas of greatest need.
- Honorary and Memorial Gifts. Commemorate relatives, special friends, and others with a gift in their honor.
