Library service in Sharonville began with a bookmobile stop in the village in the 1930s. In 1966, a permanent location was established in a storeroom on Reading Road. The branch moved to a larger location at the corner of Reading and Creek in 1980. In 1990, the size of that facility was doubled. In the early 1990s, the Library began building what were known as regional branches in the outer ring suburban communities of Hamilton County.

Sharonville's current 11,000 square foot building was built as a regional branch on land donated by the City of Sharonville in 1993. Located by a picturesque creek, the Sharonville Branch Library features a pleasant atmosphere with large windows opening onto an enclosed patio and park-like views.
