Online Services Down for Maintenance November 8

As part of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library’s commitment to providing ways to connect and explore online a scheduled outage will take place Monday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. for 4-6 hours while upgrades are made to our online services.

Most library services will continue as usual during the outages, but there will be limited access to the Library’s online catalog, research databases, and customers’ Library accounts.

Will the Libraries Be Open?

Yes! All Library locations are open and all events will take place as scheduled.

Can I Still Check Out Items?

Yes! During this outage some online services may be down, but please visit one of our 41 library locations to check out your favorite print books, DVDs, CDs, magazines, and other physical items. Print and fax services also are available.

Can I Access My Library Account Online?

You will not be able to access your Library account online. This outage will not change any of your account information, holds, collections, or settings.

Can I Access Research Databases?

During the outage, research databases are unavailable, both at branches and online.

Will I Be Able to Use the Library’s Online Catalog?

During the outage, you will be able to browse the online catalog.

Can I Access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and other Stream and Download Resources?

Any eBooks or eAudiobooks checked out through the Library's Stream and Download resources, such as Libby and Hoopla, will be available but may have interruptions during the outage.

Will This Outage Impact My Holds?

No. Your current holds won’t be affected, but you may not be able to place new holds during the outage.
