Jones Executive Director of The Library Foundation, which funds the Writer-in-Residence program. "Her adaptability to provide relevant and engaging programming in the middle of a global pandemic is remarkable. Moreover, as a journalist and nonfiction writer, she brings a unique and powerful perspective to the residency that the committee felt was timely."

Over the course of the year, McClain hosted in-person and virtual events, including a December virtual roundtable with publishing experts titled There's More Than One Way to Publish a Book.
