City’s first poet laureate featured guest during 19th annual Poetry in the Garden

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is celebrating National Poetry Month in April with its 19th annual Poetry in the Garden series.

Special programs are being held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Each night features local poets reading from their works as well as open mic time for anyone who would like to read a poem.

  • April 4 — Winners of the Poetry in the Garden contest, Cincinnati Poet Laureate Pauletta Hansel
  • April 11 — Dana Ward, Cathy Wagner, Sarah Rose Nordgren
  • April 18 — Mark Mendoza, Sara Tucker, Lillian Currens
  • April 25 — John Drury, LaWanda Walters, Linwood Rumney
