Personal job coaching now offered at Main Library via Cincinnati Works partnership

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is committed to supporting residents looking for work or aspiring to a better, more financially and emotionally fulfilling career. That’s the basis for new weekly career coaching offered by Cincinnati Works in partnership with the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

Cincinnati Works coaches are on-site for free one-on-one sessions Mondays in the second-floor Tech Center at the Downtown Main Library. The coaches are trained professionals with years of experience who help people find and keep stable jobs.

“We have wanted to work with the Library for quite some time,” said Leslie Kish, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Cincinnati Works. “They have a lot of resources for job-seekers. It is a known place for people to look for jobs, and with the proximity to our office it made sense in a lot of ways. We felt like we could complement what their staff was already doing well, and plug in our expertise and our connections.”

Cincinnati Works coaches provide free help with building a résumé, searching and applying for a job, and preparing for an interview. The weekly sessions began in June and so far, coaches have worked with more than 25 job-seekers. Specific times and services may vary from week to week based on availability.
