Teens encouraged to create art inspired by stories for Library contest

Who: Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

What: 2016 Teen Art Contest

Where: Main Library and all 40 branches

When: Oct. 1–31, 2016

Why: The theme is “Fan Art.” Teens can create and submit two-dimensional art including drawings, paintings, digital illustration, or photography inspired by their favorite story for a chance to win prizes. For rules, contest details, and program details, visit http://cinlib.org/2d52XPO.

Teen Art Programs

Led by an instructor from the Art Academy of Cincinnati or the Cincinnati Art Museum, teens learn more about cartoon art, character development, and various art styles. Create! with CAM— 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Forest Park Branch and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Mt. Healthy Branch

Join the Cincinnati Art Museum for a hands-on workshop to jumpstart creativity. Learn about a variety of media and artistic styles through an exploration of the museum’s collection.
