Urban Sites CEO named to Library Board

Greg Olson fulfills last of William Moran’s term then starts his seven-year term

The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners appointed Greg Olson, CEO of Urban Sites, to the Board of Trustees of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County during the May 14 regular meeting. He replaces William Moran, whose term was set to expire Sept. 30. After his appointment, Olson is fulfilling the last few months of Moran’s term and a new seven-year term that starts Oct. 1.

Olson graduated from St. Xavier High School and went on to earn his BSBA in Accounting from The Williams College of Business at Xavier University. Besides leading Urban Sites, a development, construction & property management company in Over-the-Rhine & Walnut Hills, Olson is a board member for The Over The Rhine Chamber of Commerce, the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation and on a variety of committee’s including Greater Cincinnati Foundation’s - Impact Investment, Cincinnati Preservation Association’s – Investment & Finance. He’s also a Director for the Ed & Joann Hubert Family Foundation and the William S. Olson Memorial Foundation. He resides in Monfort Heights with his wife and family.

“I am ready and eager to assist my fellow trustees and The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County face the challenge of moving into the next decade with updated facilities, technology, access to educational resources and fiscal responsibility; all with the greater goal of enhancing people's lives and our community,” said Olson.

Olson was sworn in at the virtually held May 19 board meeting. The next board meeting is scheduled tentatively for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Distribution Center, 1130 Findlay St. in Queensgate.
