Week of July 3, 2023: The Corryville Branch Library reopened on Thursday, July 6, 2023! The Branch received extensive repair work to the interior and exterior of the building. This $2.8 million project was made possible through the generous support of Hamilton County as a result of the 1 mill levy that was passed in May 2018. Read more about the reopening on our blog.

Week of June 12, 2023: The Corryville Branch Library will be reopened on Thursday, July 6, 2023! Work is almost done on this branch with finishing touches being completed. The temporary certificate of occupancy is expected in the next two weeks and the reopening will be scheduled shortly after that. There will be additional items installed later this summer and scheduled at our convenience.

Week of May 8, 2023: Drywall has been installed and painted for the new study and meeting rooms, with new trim. Restroom accessories including changing tables have been installed. Exterior concrete work around the building is complete. New shelving is being assembled throughout the branch.

Week of April 3, 2023: Drywall has been installed for the new study and meeting rooms. Painting is underway throughout the building. Restroom accessories including changing tables are being installed. Prep for exterior entry concrete work is underway.

Week of February 27, 2023: Framing work continues for new study and meeting rooms. Tiling for the restrooms in underway.

Week of January 30, 2023: Cement board has been installed around the entire building as part of foundation repair and waterproofing. The central rotunda has been repainted. Framing for new study and meeting rooms has begun.

Week of January 2, 2023: Over half of the interior central rotunda is painted and repaired. Plaster repair and painting of the interior ceilings and walls throughout the rest of the building is nearing completion. Foundation repair and waterproofing is underway around the entire building.

Week of December 19, 2022: Excavation continues around the perimeter of the building. Painting and plaster repair is continuing inside the building along with interior waterproofing and foundation repair.

Week of December 12, 2022: Exterior excavation is underway to prepare for water proofing. The interior plaster repair and preparing for buildout of new spaces is ongoing. We are tentatively planning to reopen the branch in April 2023 pending any supply chain issues.

Week of December 5, 2022: Trenches have been dug around the entire building’s foundation. Waterproofing to begin soon. Ceiling plaster repair for the interior of the branch has begun.

Week of November 28, 2022: Trenches have been dug around the exterior of the building. Work has begun on exterior foundation repairs. Materials have been removed from the inside of the building. Furniture and shelving has been tarped over for protection during interior construction.

Week of August 8, 2022: Project planning continues with THP and Pepper Construction ahead of construction tentatively beginning in late 2022.
