Storytelling

Warlock Vorobock Reads

Warlock Vorobock Reads is a monthly storytime for grownups. In each episode, librarian Adam Vorobock reads one fantastical, shiver-inducing tale. If you enjoy sitting around a campfire, listening to a storyteller as the flames leap higher into the darkness and the trees seem to inch a little closer, this podcast is for you. A production of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library.

New episodes monthly.

Local History

West End Stories Project

The West End Stories Project is an award-winning podcast capturing the experiences of individuals who lived in the neighborhood in the late 1900s. It’s for anyone who wants to learn more about the neighborhood’s history and transformation.

If you lived or spent a significant amount of time in the West End and would like to share your story, contact Keloni Parks, manager of the West End Branch Library, at 513-369-6900 or westend@chpl.org.

My Stories Podcast Project

Explore connections to the history of our neighborhoods through the oral tradition of storytelling. This limited series podcast features three residents from the Cincinnati neighborhoods of Avondale and College Hill. Inspired by "There, There" by Tommy Orange and the West End Stories Project Podcast, this podcast delves into the lives of longtime urbanites and their experiences as their hometowns transformed over second half of the 20th century.

The My Stories Podcast Project is made possible through the NEA Big Read Grant in collaboration with the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library and The Library Foundation. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.

All episodes of this limited series are published.
