Free Tax Help

The United Way and ARRP are offering tax help and preparation at select branches of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library. These programs are free and available to low to moderate income families.

Depending on the type of assistance and library location, service will begin in February 2022 and run through April 2022.

 

Tax Help Varies By Location

Downtown Main Library

  • Same day, drop off tax assistance will be provided by AARP.
  • Appointments will be from February 4 to April 15, from approximately 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  • An appointment is required. Call the Library at 513-369-6900, visit UWGC-FreeTaxPrep.as.me/AARP, or call the United Way at 211.
  • Visit the Downtown Main Library's Tech Center, 1st floor of the North Building, for your appointment.

Groesbeck Branch Library

  • Same day, drop off tax assistance will be provided by United Way’s Free Tax Prep initiative.
  • Appointments will be on Saturdays from February 5 to March 30, from approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  
  • Dates of operation are available on the United Way’s Free Tax Prep initiative webpage at https://www.uwgc.org/get-help/free-tax-prep.
  • An appointment is required. Call the Library at 513-369-6900, visit UWGC-FreeTaxPrep.as.me/AARP, or call the United Way at 211. 

Harrison Branch Library

Madisonville Branch Library

  • Same day tax assistance, will be provided by United Way’s Free Tax Prep initiative.
  • An appointment is recommended, walk-ins are welcome.
  • The service will begin in February 2022 and run through April 2022.

North Central Branch Library

  • Same day, drop off tax assistance will be provided by AARP.
  • An appointment is required. Call the Library at 513-369-6900, visit UWGC-FreeTaxPrep.as.me/AARP, or call the United Way at 211. 

Price Hill Branch Library

  • Facilitated self assistance, or tax prep coaching, will be provided by United Way’s Free Tax Prep initiative.
  • The service will begin in February 2022 and run through April 2022.

  • No appointment is needed. Walk-ins are welcome.

Reading Branch Library

  • Same day, drop off tax assistance will be provided by United Way’s Free Tax Prep initiative.

Westwood Branch Library

If you have signed up for an appointment for a service listed above that is provided by AARP, you will be encouraged to pick up and fill out a packet before your appointment. The packets are only available if you have an existing AARP appointment. If you have an AARP appointment, you may pick up your packet at the Downtown Main Library's drive-thru or 9th Street North Building greeter station.

Cancel or Change Your Tax Help Appointment

Ask a Librarian for help cancelling or changing your appointment. Our staff will ask for the following information: name, appointment time, appointment location, and contact information.

Print Tax Forms and Documents

Need to print your federal, state, or local tax forms? The Library offers free printing at our locations. You do not need a library card to use this service.
